This Size Guide provides general sizing guidance for products available through Lunistyle. Because garment construction, fabric, silhouette and intended fit may vary between styles, the measurements shown below should be treated as a general reference rather than an exact specification for every product.
Where a product page provides item-specific measurements or fit information, the product-specific information should take priority over this general guide.

HOW TO MEASURE
For the most accurate result, measure over lightweight clothing or underwear using a flexible measuring tape. Keep the tape comfortably close to the body without pulling it tight.
- Bust — Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the measuring tape level across your back.
- Waist — Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, normally above the belly button and below the rib cage.
- Hips — Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
- Shoulder — Measure across your back from one shoulder point to the other.
- Sleeve Length — Measure from the shoulder point down the arm to the wrist.
- Inseam — Measure from the top of the inside leg to the desired trouser hem.
- Garment Length — Measure from the highest shoulder point or waistband, depending on the garment, to the bottom hem.
HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE
If your measurements fall between two sizes, the appropriate choice may depend on the intended fit of the garment.
For a more fitted appearance, the smaller size may be appropriate where the fabric has sufficient stretch.
For a more relaxed or oversized appearance, the larger size may be preferable.
Garments described as relaxed, oversized, boxy, wide-leg or loose fit are intentionally designed with additional ease and should not necessarily be sized up.
Garments described as slim, fitted, body-skimming or tailored generally sit closer to the body.
When available, always review the fit description on the individual product page.
TOPS, SHIRTS & KNITWEAR
For tops, shirts and knitwear, the bust measurement is generally the most important reference.
Shoulder width and intended silhouette should also be considered for structured shirts, jackets and fitted knitwear.
For relaxed or oversized styles, the garment may intentionally measure significantly larger than the customer’s body measurements.
TROUSERS, JEANS & SHORTS
For trousers, jeans and shorts, compare both your waist and hip measurements.
If your waist and hip measurements correspond to different sizes, we generally recommend selecting the size that best accommodates the larger measurement, particularly for garments with limited stretch.
Products containing stretch fibres may provide additional flexibility.
The rise, leg shape and intended fit can also substantially affect how trousers and jeans feel when worn.
Common silhouettes may include:
Straight Leg — A relatively consistent width from the thigh toward the hem.
Wide Leg — Designed with additional volume through the leg.
Flare — Fitted or semi-fitted through the upper leg with increased width toward the hem.
Barrel Leg — More volume through the thigh and knee with a tapered lower leg.
Relaxed Fit — Designed with additional ease through the seat and leg.
DRESSES & SKIRTS
For fitted dresses, compare your bust, waist and hip measurements.
For loose or flowing dresses, bust measurements may be the primary sizing reference.
For skirts, the waist and hip measurements are normally the most relevant.
The product description should indicate whether a style is designed to sit at the natural waist, high waist or lower on the hips.
OUTERWEAR
Jackets and coats are often designed with additional room to accommodate layers underneath.
If you intend to wear heavier knitwear beneath an outerwear item, consider the intended fit and available product measurements before selecting your size.
Oversized coats and jackets already include additional design ease and generally do not require sizing up solely to achieve an oversized appearance.
FABRIC & STRETCH
Fabric composition can significantly affect fit.
Non-stretch woven fabrics, such as certain cotton, linen and denim constructions, generally provide less flexibility.
Stretch fabrics containing elastane, spandex or similar fibres may adapt more easily to the body.
Knit fabrics can also provide natural flexibility depending on construction.
Natural fibres may experience minor dimensional changes after washing if care instructions are not followed.
Always follow the care instructions provided with the product.
GARMENT MEASUREMENTS VS. BODY MEASUREMENTS
Body measurements describe the customer’s body.
Garment measurements describe the actual dimensions of the finished product.
These values are not expected to be identical.
Garments normally include additional space known as ease, allowing for movement and creating the intended silhouette.
For example, an oversized shirt may have a garment bust measurement significantly larger than the wearer’s actual bust measurement.
Where garment-specific measurements are provided on a product page, those measurements can often give the most accurate indication of how the item will fit.
MEASUREMENT TOLERANCE
Garments may have minor measurement variations due to production methods, fabric characteristics and manual measurement.
A reasonable variation of approximately 1–3 cm / 0.4–1.2 inches may occur depending on the product and measurement method.
Such minor variations do not necessarily indicate that a product is defective.
PETITE, TALL & SPECIAL FITS
Certain products may be designed for specific proportions or may be available in special fit ranges.
Where applicable, products may be identified as:
Petite — Generally designed with adjusted proportions and shorter vertical measurements.
Tall / Long — Generally designed with increased garment or inseam length.
Plus Size — Designed using grading and proportions appropriate to the stated size range.
Any special fit designation shown on the individual product page should be reviewed alongside the relevant measurements.
ONE SIZE PRODUCTS
Where a product is offered as One Size, this does not mean that the product will fit every body size identically.
One Size products generally rely on characteristics such as:
- Stretch
- Adjustable construction
- Relaxed silhouette
- Flexible sizing
Customers should review any measurements or recommended fit range shown on the product page before purchasing.
COLOUR & APPEARANCE
Product colour and appearance may vary slightly due to:
- Screen settings
- Lighting conditions
- Photography
- Fabric texture
- Production variation
These factors do not generally affect garment sizing.
